In the spring of 2012, art and culture teacher Geesje Stroo traveled to South Africa for several months. She was struck by the wise and deep conversations she could have with young people there, especially teenagers from so-called disadvantaged schools and townships. These students were often orphans who had lost their parents to AIDS and therefore had not grown up in an official school system. What she discovered in them was a deep passion for development and a lot of life wisdom. She made a documentary about it (30 min). In these often penetrating interviews, recorded in South Africa, this becomes apparent. "Soul" is a half-hour documentary.
